Hideout
An elite crime syndicate has anonymously assembled eight of us, the most talented criminal masterminds in the field. Everything was going so well until our heist was busted by the cops, and a barrage of bullets took out some of the team. It’s up to everyone who made it out alive to convene in the hideout, interrogate each other, and figure out who among us is the Cop informant who blew the hit. If we don’t take out the Cop before their backup arrives, none of us will survive this mission.
Hideout is a social deduction game of criminal identities and questionable stories. Players take on the roles of criminals after a busted heist, interrogating each other for information to try to root out the undercover cop. The cop has to play it cool, pretend to be a criminal, and figure out the roles of the other players before the other players discover who they are.
I designed Hideout in collaboration with artist and co-designer Edanur Kuntman. Hideout is based on “Covert Criminals,” which the two of us designed alongside Avery Holmes & Shak’ar Mujukian.
